 The
first tour l lead was
not to India, but to Egypt.
SAT.
FEB 25. - CAIRO
Arrive at Cairo. Met by representative and transferred to our hotel
for overnight.
Our hotel, CAIRO MARRIOTT, is one of Egypt's most elegant hotels,
located on the
bank of the Nile. It was one of Egypt's Royal Palaces.
SUN, FEB 26.- ASWAN
Transfer to Cairo airport for our flight to Aswan. Depart at 10:30AM,
arrive at
12:30PM. Met by representative and transferred to our deluxe hotel
for
overnight. HOTEL OLD CATARACT.
MON, FEB 27.- ASWAN
Have a private tour to Abu Simbel by car. Visit the temples that
were built over a 25 year span and are one of the most prodigious
feats of engineering in Egypt. The entire complex of temples was
moved to its present location 90 feet above its old site to protect
it from the rising water of the Nile when the Aswan Dam was built
in the early sixties.
Return to Aswan for overnight at the hotel
 TUE,
FEB 28.- NILE CRUISE
Met by representative and transferred to our deluxe cruise for lunch.
Take a
tour to Aswan High Dam and the Granite caves. Continue to the Temples
of Philae
Return to our Cruise for dinner and overnight
WED, MAR 01.- NILE CRUISE
Take a felucca ride around Kitchener Island with its Botanical Gardens,
and visit the AgaKhan Mausoleum. Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Tempie
of Sobek, the crocodile-headed God, located onthe edge of the Nile.
It contains many fine reliefs. Continue to Edfu.
THU,
MAR 02.- NILE CRUISE
Visit the Temple of Horus - the most perfectly preserved of all the
Nile Temples.
Sail to Esna. Then cross the lock and sail to Luxor for dinner and
overnight.
FRI, MAR 03.- NILE CRUISE
Cross to the West Bank of the Nile and visit the wondrous Valleys
of the Kings and Queens. Visit the Tomb of Tutankhamen, the Queen
Hatshepsut's Temple and the Colossus of Mennon. Lunch, dinner and
overnight on board the Cruise.
 SAT,
MAR 04.- LUXOR
Disembark from the ship and visit
the East Bank of the Nile including
the Karnak Temple, known as the "Temple of All Temples",
see the Obelisks, the Sacred Lake and the GreatHypostyle
Hall. Transfer to our hotel, located in downtown Luxor, at
the bank of the Nile.
HOTEL WINTER PALACE, FIRST CLASS.
SUN, MAR 05 & MAR 06.- LUXOR
Day free in Luxor to enjoy the sites and character of this unique
city. Overnight at the hotel.
TUE, MAR 07.- CAIRO
Transfer to Luxor airport for our flight to Cairo. Depart at 9:30AM,
arrive at 10:30AM. Met by representativeand transferred to our hotel
for a free afternoon and overnight. HOTEL MENA HOUSE
WED, MAR 08.- CAIRO
3 days in Cairo with private guide. Visit mosques, bazaars, pyramids
and sphynx, and surrounding ruins at Saqquara. HOTEL MARRIOTT.
SAT, MAR 11.
At 10:30PM, transfer to the airport for our departure flight to the
USA.
